Doody Strike made using Anime Studio and Gamemaker Studio

doody strike poachers vs pooThe recently released video game, Doody Strike:  Poachers vs Poo, was created using a combination of the animation software Anime Studio Pro, as well as the game making software, Gamemaker Studio.

How do I know?  This is my game.

I’ve actually created a handful of games in the last few months, and I thought I’d tell you about them.  I’ve been accused of only pushing one type of animation software in the past, but I want you to know that I actually have two programs that are my “go to” programs when I need to create animation content in a hurry.  Anime Studio is what I use for any rapid 2d content I need; especially graphics, like tiles for video games, etc.  It’s so easy to get the correct pixel size if you need specifics, and it allows you to rapidly export in transparent png, jpeg, or other formats.

If, however, I need  3d content, iClone is my favorite program.  With pre-rigged character movements, you can get full character motions in a snap & import them into any game making software.  The first two video games I made (but haven’t released) were done within days, just by importing 3d content from iClone.

If you have any questions about any of the 3 programs listed above, feel free to leave me a comment & I’ll do what I can to answer it.
