Anime Studio 7 Tutorial: Curvature Tool

How do I use the curvature tool in Anime Studio 7?

Anime Studio does vectors a little differently from other vector software, but once you get used to it, it’s actually quite a time saver.  Watch the video to see how to use the tool.

What does the curvature tool do?

When you have three or more points that are not in a straight line, using the CURVATURE TOOL will change the sharpness of the angle between the middle point and the others.  If your points are in a straight line, adjusting the curvature of the middle point won’t do anything for you.

The best way to see what the tool does is by creating a square with your ADD SHAPE TOOL.  Now select two of the points and adjust their curvature.  This tool will be vital to making quality eyes and eyelids for your character.  When I first started using Anime Studio, I didn’t understand how the curvature tool worked, so I would add five points where I only needed three.  I would use the extra two points to get a sharp angle, but it got messy and left me with too many points to manage.
